Last weekend, I made a trip down to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia with friends for some shopping and food, mostly food, for me at least.
Though I stated it this way, it's actually where my home is >.<
Just that I didn't go home and stayed in a hotel in the city centre instead. Not my first time doing it tho.
So my friends came to pick us up around 9.15 am and we had our dim sum breakfast down in Johor Bahru before starting our trip down Kuala Lumpur (KL).
We reached around 3pm and started looking for a hotel to check in. Though it's not any public holiday, the first few hotels that we asked were fully booked >.>
Finally we settled on a cheap hotel which cost only RM80/night :/
Left our stuff in our room and off to Sungei Wang Mall, less than 10 minutes away. In fact just behind the hotel.
I used to frequent this place during my Uni days. The last time I came was before graduation. That's 5 years ago >.<
Not much changes tho after all these years.

Wanted to look for the Toilet Themed Restaurant (T-Bowl Restaurant) in the mall, even googled it. Too bad, it's closed >.< no business?
Settled for Taiwanese instead.
pretty empty lol. maybe it's way past lunch hour... was around 4pm - 4.30pm?
everyone ordered bubble milk tea, except one jelly
Lu Rou Fan (minced pork rice/braised pork rice) with salted vege
not as good as the ones I've had in Taiwan, but not bad.
Zha Jiang Mien? (fried sauce noodles)
The claypot was San Bei Ji (Three Cup Chicken)
ordered too much >.< had a hard time finishing them lol
forgot what these called. fried chicken thing
Oyster Mee Sua
too bad I don't eat oyster :/ the smell is too strong for me.
with our tummies full, it's time for shopping!
tho I didn't shop much XD
At night we walked to Petaling Street, which is located about 15 minutes away from our hotel.
By the way, I took a shot of Berjaya Times Square at night. It's a hotel & mall just opposite Sg Wang Plaza.
Petaling Street at night. (It's like the "Ladies Market" in Hong Kong or "Bugis Street" in Singapore)
here, you can get all kind of "fakes" /ifyouknowwhatimean
anyway, there's a famous stall here:
and it's great to quench your thirst with 1. I had 2.
Tourists everywhere.
When we were done squeezing through the mountains of tourists, we took a cab down to Bukit Bintang. The place where people hang out. Not my kind of place, but it's great every once in a while. Too much beer is no good.
Both side of the road lined with pubs and bars. Honestly, it's my first time here despite being a KL-ian. I'm more of a "mamak-stall" person. XD
The 4 of us ordered one tower of Carlsberg.
might be due to my half empty stomach, feeling a little tipsy after 3 pint of beer. Normally I can take more than that. opps.
Returned to our hotel around 12, and beer helped me to zzzzz so deeply.
So I've mentioned earlier that this was more like a food trip to me :X
Breakfast the next morning:
Dry Chicken Curry Noodle
Chicken Curry Noodle
Fish Head BeeHoon ("Yu Tao Mai" in Cantonese)
so much better than the ones in Singapore >.<
Tom Yum Fish Noodle
Even my friend gave a thumb up~
too spicy for me tho x.x
haven had such awesome brekkie in a while
Since we're only checking out around 1pm, we continued shopping in Lot Ten (another mall opposite Sg. Wang Plaza) and Times Square. Haven't been there in a while too.
Bought some clothes and another stop for desserts XD

| Hui Lau Shan |
Both of these cost a total of RM31.50
pretty expensive dessert lol
Huge Capsule Vending Machine in Times Square.
I hope Malaysia could someday competes for some real deal Guinness Records. Not just largest whatever or longest whatever :/
After checking out, we drove down to Sunway Pyramid for some shopping again. My territory LOL
I used to part time here during uni days.
Last but not least, sorry to my muslim friends out there if you've clicked on the link to this post. But the following will be non-halal >.< though there're already a few non-halal pics up there.
So you still have time to close this tab lol.
