We have been making lists, packing, cleaning, loading, organizing.. gosh, going on vacation is sure labor intensive! This having fun is a lot of work! I will be AWOL for a while and will miss doing my blog and reading all of yours.. and all your sweet comments! This photo below was taken from my little Sunfish sailboat on "our" lake. It's a high alpine wilderness camp - no electricity - no phones - no internet. When I look at this I am as close to nirvana as I can get. This is the best - no motor boats, quiet, clean and from the lake there is no sign of civilization. Ahhhh.. yes.
This shot is taken from the lagoon where our little beach is -- there are 2 little islands out there where we sail, kayak and swim to. The water here is so pure, it's more pure than distilled water! One of the 4 purest on the planet. The visibility depth is 115 feet. If you want to see what we did last year, here is my post from when we got home. Click HERE.This is Portland, the city near us, 24 miles from our farm. I took this photo while driving over one of our bridges yesterday after I got my Explorer serviced for the trip. Isn't it a pretty city? The Willamette River goes right through the center of it. What is funny is the photo above.. that lake is the headwaters of the Willamette!
Yesterday evening a school friend of my daughter Amy, Rocio, brought her daughter Annalisa to see my dollhouse. They both just loved it, it was fun to share it with someone who appreciated it. Aren't they cute? Rocio is due to give birth soon - a 2nd daughter - there are 3 boys between them. She home-schools and is one of the best mother's I know. Speaking of Amy, we have plane tickets to go see her and our 2 granddaughters in October. :-) Buddy got a haircut yesterday so he's all set for the trip. Well, time to get busy. But I wanted to bid you a fair adieu and I'll "see" you when we return! ((hugs)), Teresa :-)
