One of the greats, Sydney Pollack, has succumbed to cancer this evening at the age of 73. Pollack has directed some great films and acted in many more. I loved him in Kubrick's masterpiece
Eyes Wide Shut, Woody Allen's
Husbands and Wives, and (in one of 2007's best films)
Michael Clayton. In my mind, nobody played morally bankrupt big shots better than Pollack. As a director, Pollack helmed some great films and if you haven't seen
Three Days of the Condor,
Jeremiah Johnson or
They Shoot Horses, Don't They? then check yourself and either buy them, rent them or DL them. You will be missed Syd.
