Pump prices are falling due to a combination of cheaper crude oil and declining gasoline demand.
Yep. The laws of supply and demand do work and work well when government is not intervening to support one or the other. The price of crude oil is down and thus the cost of gasoline is falling...and may well continue to drop provided governments at all levels will keep their greedy hands off of it and not add more taxes to vehicle fuel.
But just because the prices are falling doesn't mean we should quit pressuring congress for an energy bill that will lead this nation into energy self sufficiency...we need to develop our carbon fuel resources as well as wind, solar, and hydro options. Look, not only do we need to be energy self sufficient we need to get out from under the thumb of those crude oil exporters who not only hate us but are hi-jacking us and using our own money to finance wars against us. They cannot eat or drink that black gold and once we no longer need it they will not have our money to finance their regimes of terror.
I was kinda surprised by this Yahoo article that explains that the only reason that McCain was kept as a defendant in the Keating scandal was because he was a republican...
The irony of the Keating case is that McCain received the mildest ethics committee rebuke of the five senators in 1991, and was kept as a defendant because he was the only Republican. The special counsel in the case had recommended that McCain and one of the Democrats be dropped as defendants. But Democrats, who controlled the Senate, refused to take all the heat for the scandal and all five remained in the case to the end.
And now the democrats are still persecuting him because he is a republican...and honest.
The left wing MSM is doing its best to smear McCain. But digging up some shaky at best info that he supported the overthrow of the commie government in Nicaragua is a plus for McCain in my book considering that Obama's ties are with a commie who wanted to overthrow the government of the USA!
There is a lot more this morning but I just don't have the fingers to bang out what I think about it all...suffice it to say the MSM will twist and spin facts to suit their purpose and the purpose is to get the dim-a-crits in control. Why? Is MSM socialist? Naaaa...they are rich and although they want you to believe that it is the GOP who is the party of the wealthy it has been the democrats who have been taking the kickbacks to kept the fat cats getting fatter..re:Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac and Wall Street.
